gumbo custom kernel

i downloaded the custom gumbo kernel and i have no idea how to put it on my hero (fresh 1.1) i need a step by step on doing this

place the zip file in the root of the SDcard.. reboot into recovery... chose apply zip from sdcard.. pick the zip file (should sound real familiar since you have Fresh loaded...)

then reboot the phone.
