So I come to you with a problem. I can install any Rom on my evo v 4g and everything will work fine but whenever I try and install either odex or deodex or jmz stock Rom it won't work. I'm trying to sell the phone so if anyone could help me that'd be great. Thanks

That is quite a broad range of problems that can be occuring, can you specify the majority of roms and which version of android they run? If you can boot gingerbread/some ics and jelly bean roms, the hboot isnt compatible with the stock odex and deodex, meaning you would have to flash hboot 1.57/1.58.

So how do I flash that hboot? Cause I have like the 1.07 or whatever.

Are you s-off? If so, just run the ruu, and you'll be bone stock. If not, you will have to lock the bootloader first. I would leave s-off, as that can add value to the phone. Running the ruu will not affect your s-off status. There is a simple command to get back to s-on if you decide to make the phone 100% stock.

Are you against the idea of running the ruu? That's going to put you on stock with just one click. It will fix your hboot, firmware, and make your rom stock.
