Got it d/l already sitting on my sdcard now. Just waiting for some reports. Slayher is on the outs with vzw it seems so we might need a new dev here.
 
Yea I saw his tweets too Bjanow. They worry me very much considering he's the only one on CM team that has a TB.
 
Just loaded this rom, it's sweet. It's CM7 so everything works as you know it. I'm just getting tired of the drama.

sadly,i saw slayhers tweets as well. just because he changes carriers doesnt mean he will stop dev'ing on the TB. still,i share the same fears as its hard to dev on a device that you only use on wifi :( id still really like to see mecha merged into the cm mainline.

im not feelin this rom too much... seems more like a bluish themed a5opth3ory... i think ill just stick with cm7 or the original th3ory roms for now.

Could open the door for a new up and coming dev to get their foot in the door with CM as well, I would think with a new phone he will drift away from the bolt and devote more time to his current phone.

i dont care if the emo horse gets it there as long as it does :D id reaaaaaaaaaaallllllly like nightlys for ice cream sandwich

slayher had mentioned awhile back that cvpcs was sposed to help get it fully merged... i wonder whatever happened with that?

either way i really hate to see slayher go... hes done so much for the TB :(
 
I agree, but from the tweets (and mrs. slayher's blog) it seems that Verizon is really putting the screws to them. I would want out if I were them too (as much as that pains me to say :()

I didn't realize there was any source for ICS was out yet. I figured google would keep it out of the public until the next nexus is released.

And yes maybe the emo horse will join CM and dev for the bolt :rolleyes: but if anyone made a request it would just complain and not do it, you see that horse is one cold hearted steed
 
Off topic, but you guys hear the rumor that the the Nexus Prime *may* be coming to Verizon?? :D I will drop my TB in a heartbeat if this is true! I've always wanted a Nexus device, but VZW has never offered one (and probably never will so ignore this post, lol)

Heard the rumor and I won't believe it until I see it in a store. I have a feeling it will be an LTE device and on AT&T, their 4G network should be launching about the same time as the Nexus Prime. It would be great if it came to VZW but I don't see it happening.

What was the topic of this thread again, something about CM and horses?:p
 
If VZW gets the Nexus Prime my Thunderbolt might "accidentally" fall in the pool so I have an excuse to buy one.

Actually I think that is still way off topic. ;)

I haven't been on twitter since this morning but it looked like he had an issue with the phone perhaps desktop dock support but I'm not sure and VZW hasn't fixed it in 3 months, then he called in and got jerked around so he took it to twitter.
 
This rom is running very smooth and battery life is looking really good so far. Not sure what he did but updates coming soon as well, perhaps tonight. Gapps preinstalled, still rooting around. (nice boot ani too) There is an AO5pStor app that takes you to different downloads compatible with this rom, including themes and kernels.

Drama? Yes major. His wife had a problem with the phone not getting signal and dropping data/voice consistently. They've been working with VZW for some months now with no resolution. VZW csr was awful and they pissed him off since they wouldn't let him out of the contract. I might not have gone that route but that's just me. I don't believe he will be deving for the TB much longer but that's just me too.

Thanks bjanow that was the topic wasn't it. Are you running the stock kernel? How does it do coming out of sleep, is there lag at all with the phone waking up?
 
I've never really had lag, so I'm not a good judge. There was a link to imo's kernel somewhere in the thread and I dl that. Might be in the app too. Stock kernel was slayher #7 ditched that immed. I usually oc when charging so I needed a different one. You guys should really try this if you're in a flash mood.
 
I almost always fall back to using IMO's lean kernel. I get lag on most stock kernels and the dream kernel. I've had better battery life out of the 3.5.8 compared to his latest 3.5.11.

same here. plus pattery life is slightly better with leankernel. tho admittedly i dont mess with kernels much,and i usually just run it at the stock speed and dont UV

i do have good luck with slayhers kernels in cm7- its hard to percieve any differences between it and imo there.
