Hey, I have a very silly question I don't know the answer to, which needs answering.
I am interested in getting a HTC Desire cause I hear its one the best on the market. HOWEVER I can't afford to get one off of Ebay and online because I don't own a credit card. I also can't find one on a kijiji type thing. The only carrier in Canada that sells the Desire no contract is Telus which I don't plan on signing with.

If I buy the desire from Telus, can i just stick a sim card in and use it with different carrier?

It's likely that your phone will be locked to Telius, but fortunately there are plenty of guides on here to debrand or root your phone to work with SIM cards from other telco's.
