Help Half bricked Superpad3

xBigBen

Lurker
Hi,

I got my superpad 3 a few weeks, everything worked well.
I rooted with Z4root a few weeks ago, and superuser was installed fine.

Today i installed busyboxinstaller from market and after the reboot it went wrong.
During reboot the big "ANDROID" symbol does not come on.
When the device is running, i see the unlock screen and i can slide to unlock.
I can no longer get the menu to come up. I have even done a hard reset, erasing all user data. I can view the menu for a moment by hitting the menu button, but everything has a blue tint to it and then it goes back to a black screen with just the top menu bar showing.

My current system is:
Official firmware
Model Number DISCO10
Android version 2.2-20110503
Build number FRF85B

It has a green led while charging and a 5v power supply.

What can I do to get this working again?

If the hard reset is not working my guess is your internal tf card has corrupted. I would try reflashing either with a stock rom or Tim's 5a.

Yeah it's a coin toss if you do not know for sure. You could look back at the ad you purchased that tablet from and see if there is anything in the specs.

This site has a link to a custom tom that is for both and a link to the latest factory rom.

I just used the Tim's 5a and it works again :D

After the firmware installation,it rebooted and the buzzer keeps on buzzing:eek: that was a scary moment.
But i rebooted again and it looks like everything is working again.

Anyway, thanks for the quick reply Rabid1
