Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem with their new nexus... Half of the screen (left side if in portrait orientation) is dark with text barely discernible. If we sleep and wake the screen 5-15 times it will eventually come up normal, then everything works fine until the screen is slept again. This is easy to do with the magnet sensor, but obviously annoying . Of course we will be getting a replacement ASAP, but I thought I would put this out there since I don't see others with the problem.
Anyone know if this would be a loose connector or something that would fix the problem? We don't see any rhyme or reason to when it comes up fine and when it doesn't except for maybe coming up quicker when the unit is warm (but that might be our imagination) We have not seen the screen stop working while it is already on and good, nor have we seen it start working when it is already half on, only when you cycle the sleep with either the power button or the sensor. Touch works on the whole screen even when the display is half darkened.
Anyway, just curious if there are any metoos out there or if anyone can shed light on what the problem is.
