Help Half of my screen doesn't work

Hi techie friends!

Have an issue. The right half of my screen isn't working. There was a sweet spot that I could press lightly (bottom of the screen, about 1/3 of the way to the right of the leftmost edge) but that sweet spot doesn't work anymore. So now i've just got 1/2 the screen. The touch part still works (i can unlock, power off, etc.) but I just can't see it. Here's a picture to describe. Anyone have any idea what the problem is and how I can fix it? My Xoom is out of warranty, so i'm on my own.
Any help would be appreciated!

You need a new screen. You can try to replace it yourself, but the damage you cause in doing it will cost more to repair than if you just pay to fix it from the start.
