Root half root?

so i took the leap and rooted... lil ironic heh, read for a few days, did my research, anyway used unrevoked3, let it do its thing. claimed triumphant success. it booted into the custom recovery so i took that oppurtunity to do a nand back up. reebooted and installed the wifi tether app. it let me install as well as connect. heres the catch. if i bootload it. it goes to stock and says s-on. any ideas. is it a half root. it let me grant permission to the tether app.

This happened to some guy in the rooting for dummies thread.. I told him to download unrevoked forever and flash it. That worked for him. That is weird that this has happened to two people in two days. Must be some sort of glitch because unrevoked forever is included in unrevoked 3.2. Anyways its doesn't seem to be a big deal, just download ur forever and you'll be good to go!
