Yay!! Phone turned on..thanks, now do I just use TB to restore all my apps?
Can I restore system apps too using my TB? (I did the back up on 7.0.3)
If you don't have the paid versio, you're best to let them re download themselves after you sync with your gmail account. Then restore the data on an app by app basis as and when you need it. Make sense?

So shall I restore my system data too? Also the problem with ur method is, I have other 500 apps downloaded and most of them were installed on my sd card.
Nope, just restore user apps and associated data, if you attempt to restore system apps it could cause problems.
I've never installed stuff on to the SD Card so I'm not sure how that works although it should technically restore with no problem.

I believe Titanium is supposed to support apps installed in the SD card, but last time I tried a restore with it, it didn't restore my apps on the SD card, so I think there is a genuine problem. I think the fix is to find the individual apk's on the card and run them, but not sure about that.

Actually, I just did a check and some apps that I accidentally left on my SD card are showing as having been backed up by Titanium (a blue SD card icon next to the name). I know when I did do a restore after flashing a new ROM that it definitely did not restore them and that they would not run when I attempted to launch them via existing shortcuts (using Folder Organiser). I wonder if they got picked up again after a fresh backup following a new ROM flash.
So, to pranavtulsian, after you have run the batch restore on your fresh ROM and it fails to restore the apps that are on the SD card, if you run a fresh backup, Titanium might find them again and back them up. You might then need to do another batch restore and they might reappear. Whatever happens, you haven't physically lost them, you just need to work out a way to get them back.

Ok...so now here is the situation, yesterday my phone was working fine..it was good. So overnight I restored using TB, 481 apps to be exact, most being App2Sd. This morning I woke up and the phone was restored, score! So I restarted my phone. Now whenever I try using it, after like 5 mins, it completely freezes...and the only way to use it again is to take out the battery, it has happened like 5 times now....
What do I do? :/

I think if you have so many apps chances are there is just too much information passing through the cpu/RAM which results in the launcher/ui freezing while it tries to take care of everything else in the background. Problem with some setups is that the Launcher/UI isn't prioritised in said situation which in some Sense ROMs results in multiple occurences of the splash screen showing and Sense reloading. I'd be looking in MENU>SETTINGS>APPLICATIONS>RUNNING SERVICES if you've got apps running there and a lot are your apps2sd ones. One you have many poorly coded apps not shutting down or reverting to their dormant background state properly. Then you have to understand its using more effort and power transfering data on and off the sd card and if you sd card is of a lower class (2 or 4) thats going to slow things down too as opposed to internal/on board storage. Having too many apps can be a bad thing.
On a side note what mechanism are you using to move apps between sd card and internal storage? The in-built android one using your sd card FAT32 partition or an EXT3 partition using a script or 3rd party app?

I was using CM 7.0.3 before with the same number apps and phone was working fine. Now I am on CM 7.1.
I am using a 32GB Class 4 SanDisk Micro Sd Card.
I used the inbuilt Android function for App2sd while on 7.0.3, so I assume TB has done the same, and I checked, it has moved the apps that were on the Sd card back to the card when I restored last night.
and also if I check how much RAM I have, its around the 200MB mark which is quite a lot...

Might it be worth freezing most of the apps (or deleting them after doing a nandroid/Titanium backup) and seeing how the phone performs for a while? This might help diagnose the problem and see if it is as stublake says or if there is another issue with your phone.

Have you ran Fix permissions in ROM Manager (it might help, although I'm 50-50 on that)? Also, what are your CPU settings set to?

Ok, Ill try doing the Fix Permissions in ROM Manager, also how can I check my CPU settings? I havnt messed around with it.
Menu > Settings > CyangoenMod Settings > Performance > CPU Settings. What are the min and max?

OK, I tried the ROM Manager thing, and before it could finish it froze, it got to 365 out of 565.
If I use my nandroid backup itll go to exactly the way it was right? and work like it did right?
IDk if this info helps, but I am tethering internet from my phone to the laptop atm, and the phone is frozen but the internet is still working..

That is a symptom of the UI/Launcher freezing as I mentioned.
This might help explain it better and/or help if you implement it:

If you restore your backup it will revert everything back to the way it was and it will work just as it did before.
Also try lowering the max to 1075 or even 998, let me know if that makes a difference.

Would you recommend restoring or using this script? Also if I restore, do I just go into recovery and click restore?
