Root HALP, Flashing Rom Problem

Would you recommend restoring or using this script? Also if I restore, do I just go into recovery and click restore?

Also Ill try lowering the max CPU and let you know if it helps.

I'd recommend trying the script and if you get no luck restore.

I changed the Max cpu to 998, made no difference....I tried to restore my nandroid backup via recovery and it said 'MD5 mismatch' .............:/ I really need my phone....how can I restore the backup?

I would rather just restore atm, everything worked fine there. Ill delete some apps then just get CM 9 when its out. Plus my busybox version is wrong.

OMG, Why is EVERYTHING going wrong!??!

I realised my nandroid backup may be corrupted as my sd card did not have enough space on it when I made it. Although I found this link: [How To] Fix md5 mismatch nandroid restore - xda-developers but have no idea what to do with the code.

I did a factory reset on my phone atm just so I could use it!! For the moment it seems fine...

You guys think my phone was messing up just because of the amount of apps on it?

So shall I just restore some of my important apps and I should be fine?

That exact last bit. Don't force match the md5 as the file is still corrupt and you've no idea what was backed up and what wasn't and all you'll end up doing is bootlooping at the very least.

ROM Manager shouldve given me a notification if it did make a backup properly :/....phone working flawlessly atm, so Ive decided to restore apps. Only restoring 90 apps for the moment, the very core ones that i cant live without....lets see how it goes...

Thanks for all the help everyone.

Restored the 90 apps and phone is working fine...so yea it was cause I had too many apps, just seems wierd that it worked find in 7.0.3 and not in 7.1...will need to do some cleaning.

I'd let someone know over on the CM forum. It could just be a simple 1 where there should be a 0 causing all the problems in the code. Something small that they might have missed.

You really like to punish yourself!

P.S. you don't install that ROM as it is for the Motorola Droid and Milestone.

Oh haha!! You saved me there....ok, how can I get the gtalk with my CM 7.1 so I can audio/video chat via gtalk?

I thought GB 2.3.5 has gtalk with audio capabilities, and CM has 2.3.7, I guess its cause you have to dl gapps sep, so anyone have a link where i can get the latest gapps for DHD with CM 7.1? and how to install it please.

Thanks.

The sticky at the top of the forum has all the info in there.

Apologies, I've added the gapps package into the CM install instructions (although the download is there and it does say to flash it later on in the instructions).

The video talk might not work as the DHD doesn't have a front facing camera. The Absolution ROM has a hack that tricks the phone into thinking the back camera is a front facing one.

Yea, thanks to you I have a working CM 7.1 :), the instructions are amazing. I have the gapps in the instructions which includes the old gtalk.

For the brief moment I had RCmix, I noticed it had gtalk with video/audio options. I dont mind about the video, but I would like the talk options in my gtalk, I found these links: [APP][ROOT] Google Talk 1.3 (Video/Audio) - xda-developers & [APP][ROOT] Google Talk 1.3 with Video calling, Now wifi optional! - xda-developers

I dont use SDK, so cant use the codes, any other way I could get an updated gtalk? Can I dl zip and just flash it?

Edit: Also the current official update for DHD has gtalk with video/audio options.

The link to the flashable is in one of the threads you just posted.
