I regularly use Handbrake to encode movies to watch on my 60inch HDTV. one big concern is the audio is not as loud as i would imagine on the tv, on the actual Evo its fine. i thought it was my tv or something but then i plugged the evo onto another tv and the same thing happens (lack of audio and had to turn up all the volume to vaguely hear it.)any1 have any clues on how to boost audio when watching movies? working around the audio settings in handbrake might be an option but im not sure where to start. i use this guide to convert files to play on evo.

How to convert videos and transfer them to the HTC EVO 4G - Know Your Cell

not sure on how to fiddle with the audio settings in this guide to boost up the audio quality. any1 know got any tips on how to setup superior audio settings?

Are you just using the tv's speakers? Or are you using a stereo or surround receiver? Most tv's these days dont put very good speakers in the sets, because they know most people will use a receiver for their sound.

That being said, no, you cannot boost audio in handbrake. The only workaround is to demux the audio from the original or converted file, take it into a separate audio program and boost the volume, then remux it back into the video.
