Help Handcent and AK notes problem with copy and paste? anyone?

For some reason I can't copy and paste from those apps into other apps. It's really frustrating anyone else have that problem? I like to type an email on the notes then cut& paste to my email after I finalize, buy the only way is just to send directly from the notes and I can't see how it's layed out. And I can't cut something from handcent then put it into an email or notes.

AK notes has an option to email the note so you don't need to copy/paste there

Don't use Handcent, so I hope someone else will be able to answer that
