Help Handcent app low on space

Worst thing about this app. I don't even have that many messages in my inbox. Is there a way to fix this besides deleting messages all the time. Stock app doesn't do this.
 
Are you talking about the android "Low on Space" notification? I've never seen a handcent error like that.
