Help Handcent emoticoms

I downloaded Handcent from the Android Market, because the stock messenger had crummy emoticoms. Now, I have the proper emoticoms on my phone, and they show on the messages I type, BUT, they don't get sent correctly to ANY of my recipients. They show up as an assortment of symbols. How can I correct this? Optimus V, of course. There are some REAL helpful folks on this site, and I thank you.

If you're talking about the Emoji emoticons, the recipient of your text messages has to also have them (Handcent and the Emoji Plugin) installed in order for them to show up.


There's no "m" at the end of emoticon".
