Help Handcent issue

For whatever reason, some of my contacts don't notify me when they send texts. The pop-up box shows up, but no notification at the status bar and no sound. It only happens for a few of my contacts and others work. Help?

I had similar issues with it, where I would disable the stock messaging notification, but Handcent wouldn't do anything to notify me...no sounds or anything. I was using the ATK, which also was not letting my clock alarm go off either. Once I uninstalled the ATK, the clock issue and everything worked fine. I switched to chompSMS and haven't had any issues with notifications since.

I think Handcent works fine, what i do think is... what Apps are installed on your Incredible and how contacts are listed/sync effects Handcent, if handcent works on one/many Incredibles, it should work on all of them.
