Is there a way to disable the default text messaging app while running another such as Handcent? I get a notification from each app every time i receive a new message.
Yeah, run the default messenger app, then press the menu key, go to settings and there you can disable it. Deselect delete old messages, along with auto-retrieve and Notifications, and you should be good to go.
