Handcent MMS problem

Anyone having problems sending MMS messages via handcent? This worked fine on my HERO, but doesn't work on my Evo. I can send MMS messages via the stock messaging app, but handcent just spins and never sends the message. Normal SMS messages work fine.
 
i was able to send one just fine. verified with the person that they did receive it.

what version of handcent are you running?
 
Yeah.. did an uninstall/reinstall.
I'm root on OMJ rom.. it's probably related to that. Just wanted to verify that it wasn't affecting all evo users.
 
ahhh very well could be. prob just try going back to stock rom and see what happens, then flash back to OMJ and see if it does it again
 
I have noticed that it is VERY slow sending MMS's with Handcent. I have successfully sent some though. I noticed that on a long message containing only text characters that converts to MMS sends very slow as well even though it is only text. Seems to be a difference between how a SMS is sent on the network vs how an MMS is sent.
 
I am having this problem too, but I've only tried sending over wifi, if I send over 3G it's fine. I believe Sprint only takes outgoing MMS over their network and the default messaging app actually sends it out over your Sprint data connection even if you are connected to wifi.
 
Figure I'd piggyback this thread since my problem is along the same lines. I can send MMS through Handcent but I'm not able to attach images from a fresh camera capture. After I take a picture it seems to just go back to the message screen. I have to reattach from my album which then works fine. In the stock Message app I can attach from camera fine. Any ideas?

That happens to me as well. I have been using the default app to send mms's. I just don't select a default when the menu pops up to ask me which app to use.
 
Worked for me on omj's rom, wifi and 3g, however I have since switched to bugless pete's and like that rom better
 
worked fine for me...then i rooted via unrevoked and the only thing wrong is that the pop up screen turns my phone on for .5 seconds then back off really quick.
 
i used to use these....hmmm i may go back. if i remember correctly handcent had a laundry list of customizations.

naturally, they must have even more options now./rant
 
when you send from handcent it sends as mms... from teh stock program it send sms unless you put a picture.... see if you cna send a picture on the stock program.. maybe its a problem with mms itsself
