Help Handcent notification sound stopped working

I have the same trouble on my S2 in Handcent.

When I go to Handcent > settings > Notification settings > Notification sound I select my sound; it plays, I then click ok. I then try Test Notification. The vibration pattern works but the sound does not. I have sent a text from another phone and that only vibrates; the notification sound does not.

Any Handcent users with any ideas please?

I have discovered that:-

Menu > Settings > sound > Volume > Notification will not stay at anything other than zero.

I drag the slider to the right and get the full power notification sound. I press ok then back out. I send a text from another phone but all I get is the vibration pattern; no sound.

I check:-

Menu > Settings > sound > Volume > Notification and find that the Notification has returned to zero.

Any advice please?

Hopefully fixed by opening Volume Locker and unchecking that, then setting Notification sound then rechecking Volume Locker.
