Help Handcent personal contact pictures

I got Handcent on a recommendation of another forum member and for the most part its definately an upgrade to the stock version minus some of the hanging at the lock screen (acknowledge message and it remains there) and it pulls up the quick reply screen even if I am on the main Handcent screen.

But I am curious about the personal contact picture associated to me showing up. All my other contacts that have pictures show. On my Dinc on the stock text screen my picture (UC logo) would show in conversation. I cant seem to get that picture to show in Handcent. Anybody have thoughts on why?

I just got mine to work, finally. I clicked on the blank picture spot in a conversation next to one of my texts lines (where the pic should be), then was able to follow the prompts to pick and save a profile pic.

It's odd, because I have had the same issue for a long time and I feel like I have tried that before without success, but just now it worked fine. I went through all my conversations and my pic is next to my texts..

Yeah I click on the photo in a conversation, I hear a click but nothing happens. I have tried in long conversations, new conversations. The little triangle in the bottom right changes color when I click...but thats about it.

So did you just click and somehow a setup menup popped up?

Yes, that was it exactly. A "Profiles" page came up. I am not sure if that had happened before or not, but it did come up this time. I tried again now and it did again. THat part is a bit wonky, I don't know why it seems hit and miss.

Under "Settings" ,"Handcent Services" ,"Profiles" I get the same screen actually ..

Ah AH! Thats a problem. I have not been using it with a profile login!
