Handcent SMS attaching a file

[bbrad]

I can't figure out how to attach a file on my sd card to a text message jusing Handcent. I can do it with the original sms program that came on my eris. I recorded a voice recording that I want to send as a text and the only audio options it gives you is your ringtones.

Am I missing something?

thanks

when you get to the screen when you are typing your message, hit menu and the option for "attach" should popup.

Yeh, I get that far and then if you choose audio, you can only choose a ringtone. No access to files on the sd card like the other messenger.

I emailed the author to see if handcent supported sending a file from the sd card. Haven't heard anything yet. I also noticed Handcent sometmes has a problem sending pictures it resizes. I have had two people tell me that they could not open a picture I sent them but then I try again its fine. We all have droids.
