Help HandCent SMS causing BSOD?

Every time I get a BSOD it seems to happen after I use handcent. I will get a text, pick up the phone and unlock it. I read the text and relock the phone using top button. A few minutes later when I try to unlock the phone it is completely locked up. Anyone else experience this? This has happened to me prob 3 times since using handcent and one time before I was using this app.

I have used Handcent on both my Incredible and my Bionic, and never had it cause a BSOD.

The fact that it happened once before using the app indicates to me that Handcent is not the culprit here. You may want to save data and do a factory reset and see if that help.

I have done the factory reset and this is a brand new phone. May not be tied to handcent but I have noticed every time it has happened was right after I read a text.

BSOD is a very imprecise label. For some ideas on how to address the condition take a look at ... BSOD (black Screen of Death) ... that was culled from the experiences a lot of people had and documented in this forum.

I have done the factory reset and this is a brand new phone. May not be tied to handcent but I have noticed every time it has happened was right after I read a text.

Easy to check... uninstall handsent and send a text using stock msg app.

Then reinstall handcent and send a text.
