Handcent sms: how do i get rid of the regular message notification?

Tried handcent and loving the crap out of it. But when I get a text I get 2 notifications. One for regular sms app and the other for handcent. How do i get rid of the regular sms notification?

You simply have to disable notifications from within the stock message app.

To do so open up the stock messenger and press menu> notifications> turn of notification sound and display. Problem solved.
