Handcent SMS Led notification help

I've been trying to get the flashing LED light to change colors when I receive a message, but it has yet to work. Any suggestions?

it wont change colors. it is yet to be seen if it has the ability to change or not, but at the moment all we have is white.

I didn't mean the Trackball, I meant the LED in the top right of the phone.
