Help Handcent SMS Notification issue

Hello,

I completed the battery fix by using a different text app (Handcent) and now am getting email-like notifications in my notification area. I did not get these before and its quite annoying. Ive gone through the settings and disabled the sms notifications with no success.

Any ideas? Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

Make sure you disable notifications from BOTH the default messaging app and Handcent. Hope this helps.

Have you noticed a correlation between receiving a voicemail and then a text message from HandCent?

When I try that workaround, it will not let me send a message to it. It lets me hit reply and type something, but the send button does not turn green and will not let me send anything.

Nevermind...Fixed it
