Help Handcent SMS running slow?

Anyone else noticed slow open times and navigation lag within the app since the last few updates?

Mine has been running slow also, especially since I updated to froyo theyre doesnt seem to be any reason for it

Mine has been also, I just assumed it was because of the ROM I was running. OP are you on froyo?

I'm ready to uninstall Handcent and go back to the stock SMS program. Handcent has become a TURTLE.

Texting in general is slow as heck since 2.2 no matter what app I use. Even after a factory reset same issue ;/

Yeah agreed! But the stock messaging app runs a LOT slower...

Definitely slower, and I've noticed that at times the keyboard (not sure if in other apps) jams up when I am texting as well. My old TRS-80 from the 80's could keep up with my typing, I don't see how a 1ghz processor can't lol.
