I attach pictures to Handcent text messages via the following sequence of steps:
(1) Take picture with Evo camera.
(2) Open Handcent, select message thread from list of existing threads, and compose message.
(3) Press Menu->Attach->Pictures->Gallery (as opposed to ASTRO)->Camera shots.
(4) Select image.
(5) Evo usually says "Picture too large". Press Resize.
(6) (Evo has sent me back to Handcent's list of message threads.) The thread I was just in is labeled "Draft" in red letters. Select that thread.
When I follow this sequence of steps, Handcent will *usually* display at the bottom of the thread the picture I just selected, just above the message text I entered in step (2) above. Success. Excellent.
However, a significant percentage of the time, Handcent will then display only the text I entered previously, and not the picture I attempted to attach. It's as though I didn't even perform steps (3) through (6) above. Repeating these steps over and over produces the same failed result.
Seeing as attaching a picture I've just taken to a text message is one of the most basic functions that a smartphone should be able to perform 100% of the time, I find these failures incredibly annoying. Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks much.
