Help Handecent issue

I downloaded handcent and I use launcher pro. When I selected my text messages it prompted me to pick my stock text or handecent. I accidentally picked my stock messages. How do I set it up to where I make handecent my stock text messages and stop my phone from giving me two text message notifications. i.e. one message for my stock messages and one for hancdecent.

Open up the messaging app, select text message, press your menu button and select messaging settings, uncheck notifications. That should take care of the double notification.


Go into you phones settings by pressing the (from your home page) menu button and selecting settings, select applications-manage applications, there will be 4 tabs at the top, select ALL, scroll down to messages app and select it. Push the "clear defaults," "clear cache" and the "clear data" bubble. That should give you the option to select your default texting program again.
