Hands problems >.<

I have an embarrassing problem: sweaty hands. This wasn't a problem with my Nokia N95, the keys were fine and didn't affect my phone in any way. But with the HTC, well I was just wondering if it will damage my screen.
And do you think hand cream, or any lotions will damage it?

I have not heard of any reports of sweaty hands damaging the screen of a phone. Screens are made of either plastic or glass and are water resistent. I don't think that sweaty hands will damage a screen more than it can damage a window, glass or plastic mug.

It won't damage the screen. Glass is highly corrosion resistance. That is why we use them in labs. But if you apply a screen protector, it might degrade more quickly than usual.

Sweaty hands won't do any harm at all, but it might just make the touch screen a little less easy to use, as your fingers will tend to stick.
Also, I do recall one day last year when it was damn hot, and I was on a reasonably long call. When I took the phone away from my ear it was covered in sweat, and I found that the touchscreen would do some really wierd stuff.

As the screen is capacitive, anything that conducts electricity (like sweat, chock-full of electrolytes) on the surface will affect it a bit. Like the others said, it won't hurt the screen, but if you notice any oddness from the screen, just give it a dry off.
