Handset Multy-sending texts

Anyone else had/have this problem and know of any way to sort it out. I'm on orange. Could it be the network or is it the handset?

I've been having this same problem with Handcent on the Fido network in Canada. As far as I am able to tell so far this only happens when you are in an area with a very weak signal. Handcent fails to send on the first attempt and retries sending when you get back in range. The problem is once you've got a signal again both the original message and the retry go through.

Is this the same problem you're experiencing?

I'm using the bog-standard messaging service on the phone and seem to have a decent signal so i can't bileave it's the same thing. It ain't a huge problem since i have unlimited texts, just a tad embarassing at times as i piss take with my parents that they send texts twice or even 3 times

It seems by now that i'm not receiving my other half's texts neither!?!?!? HELP
