Help Handwriting keyboard

Has anyone tried the Samsung handwriting keyboard? The one where you click on the config key to the left of the space hey, and you get to scribble with the S-Pen, and then it normally gets recognized? It simply won't work for me. I can write something, but it just sits there, unrecognized or anything, after i stop writing. The new direct pen input is working, but the keyboard isn't. I have an AT&T GN3 purchased yesterday.

Same thing happens on mine during texting threads. It will work as it's supposed to in S-Note, but not in text messaging.

*Hanging my head in shame.....

I restarted the phone, and it works now. I think I had received an update for the keyboard (along with a gazillion others). I think the reset just kick-started it...

BTW, it's really different from the previous version (GN2). I'll have to get used to this lol

I didn't update the keyboard OTA. Now that I did, and restarted, it works like a charm.

Is the mathematical function disabled on US spec Note's? I see folks on youtube using algebra and fractions but I cannot see the symbol to turn this on?

I have the exact same problem...I write the text with my pen and it does not do anything. It's supposed to auto-recognize like it does in the store models I used. I restarted the phone and it didn't make any difference!

You can access the mathematical function feature from the S-Finder app.
