Hang up

I use headphones when on the phone all day, and when I'm done with the conversation, the screen is always blank. This is fine, but is there an easy way to hang up without having to hit the volume button so that the "end call" button is available? This seems like an inconvenience. I would have thought just touching the screen would bring it out of sleep mode.

Am I the only one bothered by this? Seems like a serious defect in programming.

I usually hold my phone up to my ear and it wakes up when I move it away. I think in your situation you have to tap the power button to wake it up. Or get some headphones/headset that has a call button (not sure if they make one for Evo).

look in the android market for "shake awake". Works great when the screen sleeps during a phone call. Try it...it's FREE!

If I am on the headphones and I am done with a call I usually just wait for the other person to hang up, then it wakes it up. The phone knows when the call ends.
