Ok so I have a friend on hangout that I have a conversation going with, when I Downloaded the hangouts app on my device and set it to merge SMS, it won't merge our two conversation. It just shows me 2 threads, the gmail that he uses on hangouts and the his number in a different thread. Shouldn't these be merged? I figured hangouts would do it like Imessage as when you have any kind of data like WiFi, 3g, 4g etc it would send as a hangouts message and when you don't have any kind of data it would send as a text instead? Am I the only one having this issue? You'd think Google would of thought about this when they added SMS feature a few weeks ago.
