Just out of curiosity, where is this rule because I read both the original post plus the one for this contest and it isn't there? Basically by adding it now you've just screwed over anyone who already posted. Of course, like everyone is going to post after I write this, you can do what you want with your contest. However, it sure seems unfair to announce rules after the fact especially when they will disqualify people.

It was added after the fact. They'll probably be lenient if you posted once or something, they're just trying to cut down the mass post without reading nonsense.

Honestly, they should require the paragraph the quote is in alongside the link, that would ensure they have to actually open the articles.
 
i still think people spamming with no use of bots have high chance of winning. All they have to do is post really fast and hope its it. if it isnt all they will do is just remake another account and re do all over with no real penalty to them. Repetition will continue from them
 
While I'm sure alot of people would like to know what determines a 'disqualification', I can see why they'd not want to post it.

However, to the people that ARE hating on the single posters that are entering the contest, realize that not everyone who contributes news, or even reads the site will be active in the forums.

Still, it's driving me to the point of anger the amount of idiots that are immediately posting the links to forum posts that clearly don't have the phrase within the article.

I sincerely hope they're permanently disqualified from all current and future contests.. because that's just crap.
 
The only thing that would have made this contest 'fair', imo would be to have the phrase added to a post that appeared BEFORE the post announcing the contest (go back and edit a post to contain the phrase at some point today). That way, we'd have to search all over the website and you wouldn't get an influx of posts every time there's an update.
