Happy Holidroid Contest 12/6: Secret Phrase!

Found it!
Post with the secret phrase (that is not so secret) is located in the post here:

Verizon Takes Top Spot, AT&T Ranks Last in Consumer Reports Carrier Satisfaction Survey

I really hope that a: Automated scripts are eliminated and b: I am the first "real" person to post...

And just to prove that I actually POSTED this, and didn;t automate it... The secret phrase was on line 9

Thanks for doing this...it should have been in the official rules or something to easily award those who actually found it...I on the other hand just thought to myself "must..beat...the cheaters!" and just quickly posted to article. Props to you, though.

this Bites!!!! everyone is just posting every article not reading to see that "the elephant man ran out of peanuts" is in it, do they have program thats automatically posting it

Yes, they do. They have a simple script that monitors the RSS feed for a new post, and then submit a cmment here with the relavant details. It's a script you can write in about 30 seconds if you know a few things. Fortunately, the mods have ways to filter out the bots. Somehow, I doubt my post will end up on top after the bots go... LOL

Know I'm not gonna win (already screwed myself outta that when I was chastizing the cheaters).. but at least it's a proper entry.

I thought I had this all set up. Refresh the Phandroid homepage manually every minute or so (currently studying in front of a computer). I had a small paragraph ready to copy and paste, too, so that it was obvious there was some kind of humanity behind the on-screen text. Would take literally a second to copy the link and paste it into a new reply. Sure(kindle)fire win, I thought. Then, I found I had to re-sign back into forums, despite using it moments ago (blast!)

Course, I get into the forum after I post to find what appears to be a sea of bots and 4 pages of responses in about a minute's time. Amazing!

Some advice for the future, Phandroid: If you are going to use the time-sensitive entry method, based on a hidden phrase in a future post (or past post [much better alternative]), make it a trivia question that your hiding. It could cut down on all those gaming the system?

I'm sorry I did not get it in under the wire today, but I will try again tomorrow! The contest is fun! Good Job, Phandroid.

the elephant man ran out of peanuts.

Oh well, I was a little bit late (about 16 bots and 7 humans late, lol).
Maybe the next contest will require some thinking and searching or at least a random winner.
Good luck to the winner, I'm officially jealous.

I made several posts because I was fooled by users posting the secret phrase. I hope I am not disqualified because of that. I wasnt the first to post but maybe if someone was using a bot/script and get crazy lucky I might win....I mean crazy crazy lucky :-)
