TI OMAP 4460 dual-core Cortex A9 processor clocked at 1.2GHz but wouldn't be surprised if it has the Exynos 1.5 GHz processor in it.

The Samsung GT-I9250 which has a 99.9% chance of turning out to be the upcoming Nexus Prime, has just passed its WiFi certification today. Right on schedule with that leaked Samsung roadmap, the eve of the Nexus Prime is almost upon us. In case you needed a refresher, this device will be the premier Google device running the latest version of Android Ice Cream Sandwich. The device will have a 1280

Inside will apparently be TI’s OMAP 4460, a dual-core monster that is nothing sneeze at.
Ahh crap, I missed it. Sadface, saw only 2 posts and was happy

Samsung introduced the latest fruits of their labor in the form of a new Exynos System-on-chip (SOC) mobile processor built using a new 32nm process that is 30% more power efficient. The Exynos 4212 is a similar dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 just like their older model but this time clocked to a screaming 1.5GHz. However, where the Exynos 4212 really shines is in its GPU which is now capable of delivering 50% faster 3D graphics rendering, as well as the usual 1080p HD video recording/playback and HDMI 1.4 support.

The Samsung Galaxy Nexus name is strongly attached to this rumor, and while a slight departure from the nomenclature established with previous releases, tying the device more strongly to the Galaxy S brand could have positive benefits. The phone is said to be a pure Google Experience device (as expected) and is once again confirmed to be a Verizon exclusive in the US.

A few more juicy bits of info regarding the Nexus Prime have fallen into our laps, once again thanks to a reliable insider with access to the soon-to-be-announced Verizon device. According to statements issued to the moderators over at Android Forums, the device our source has personally used was running a dual-core 1.5GHz TI OMAP 4460 processor. This is in contrast to earlier reports that pegged the device with a CPU clocked at 1.2GHz. There is a definite chance that the pre-release model our insider handled was simply running an overclocked chipset for testing purposes, despite confidence that the 1.2GHz spec is erroneous.

The final clock speed could settle back down to 1.2GHz, and that might not be such a bad thing considering another bit of info that was verified by the same person. Lining up with earlier reports, the battery life of the Nexus Prime is said to be rather disappointing. This comes with the caveat that the phone was seeing heavy use with the screen set at full brightness, inevitably making battery life a concern when considering the massive 4.6-inch 720p display size.

Also of note is the fact that Google and Samsung are said to be rather protective of how the phone is unveiled and the marketing surrounding it. Apparently Verizon is having a hard time getting their voice heard or having a hand in the launch of the phone, further confirming that exclusive rights will only last for a limited period of time. Samsung and Google seem to be prepping the phone for a much wider release and have a very specific way they want the phone represented. The whole back and forth is causing some tension behind the scenes, especially with invites to a new device announcement event set to go out any day now. Just don

Of course, like everything found on the net, there’s always the possibility this letter could be a fake. But it just sounds so official and angry (minus the small “immediate” typo). So, now that we may have the manufacturer out of the way, word that Texas Instruments will be supplying the OMAP4 processor, and an rumored October launch for the Google-branded superphone, all that’s left now is figuring out that dang carrier. Anyone have any guesses (or more leaks)?
