Happy Holidroid Contest: Monday Trivia (Dec. 5th)

dual-core processor (we’re betting on the TI OMAP4 variety but wouldn’t be surprised – or mad – to see Exynos inside).

"Inside will apparently be TI’s OMAP 4460, a dual-core monster that is nothing sneeze at. "

You said it was TI's OMAP 4460, a dual-core monster that is nothing (to) sneeze at

Just in case somebody messed up:

File this one as #20442343 for the rumor bin. This time, BGR is claiming that their source has confirmed Samsung to be the maker of Google

Samsung 1.5GHz Exynos 4212 Dual-core Processor

"The Exynos 4212 is a similar dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 just like their older model but this time clocked to a screaming 1.5GHz. However, where the Exynos 4212 really shines is in its GPU which is now capable of delivering 50% faster 3D graphics rendering, as well as the usual 1080p HD video recording/playback and HDMI 1.4 support.

Samsung will be supplying their new 4212 SOC to OEM

Android 4.0, 4.6-inch Super AMOLED, 1.5GHz Processor, 5MP Camera + F 1MP, 1080p HD Video, WiFi, GPS
Android version 4.0 is what they’re calling it. And the 1.5GHz processor is interesting, as well. We expect Samsung to put the Exynos processor – that has proven to be very powerful on the Galaxy S II – inside.
If you remember a while back, Samsung was rumored to be increasing the clock speed of the Exynos processors in later iterations of the Galaxy S II from 1.2GHz to 1.4GHz. Perhaps they went a step above that for this offering. Odd here are the weaker camera sensors compared to their Galaxy S II line, but we all know megapixels mean nothing.
We don’t want to put too much stock into this finding, but there it is anyway. If any of you have seen this before and can claim it to be a photoshop, please let us know. Otherwise, we may have gotten a quick first glimpse of the Samsung Nexus Prime (or Galaxy Prime, or whatever).

"The device will supposedly be launching with Ice Cream Sandwich and will have a 720p display to make room for those virtual buttons you currently see on Honeycomb. The belief that Samsung is making it comes from BGR’s claims that the display will be “Super AMOLED HD”, suggesting we’ll get something close to Super AMOLED Plus, except with higher resolution.
Inside will apparently be TI’s OMAP 4460, a dual-core monster that is nothing sneeze at. All of it is said to go down right around the holiday season, folks, but don’t hold your breath just yet. "

Rumor: Samsung to Make Next “Google Experience” Device; Will Have “Super AMOLED HD”, Ice Cream Sandwich
