yep, plans are making her breakfast, gonna be grilling up some beef ribs with a green bean and golden beet salad, and wash that down with a bottle of her favorite wine, and finally for desert i bought a variety of those little desserts that Wholefoods makes.
I lost my mother when I was young but my memories are vivid. I treat my wife, mother of four, special on this day. I'm going to smoke and then reverse sear a couple of beautiful ribeye steaks for dinner.
It is her favorite meal and she deserves the best!

Going to have KFC for dinner time with my mother, and our friends in here.
I lost my Mother years ago and a couple years ago my younger brother passed on Mother's Day .......... so it kinda leaves a bad taste in my mouth .

Just remember you are not alone.
My father died on my mother's birthday. Though my mother had died decades before my father's passing that date always seem special to me. I well understand when you have a date like that it stands out. I am sorry for your loss of family. Family and a few friends if you are lucky is all a man really has in life.
My mom also passed on my Oldest brothers birthday, her first kid.
