So far so good. My 6th is almost perfect so far, no issues. There are no cosmetic issues either. Have my fingers crossed, this may be the one. Now only 15 day or less until gingerbread. I am very excited to try new equalizer.

Still working perfect. There is hope.
good to hear. i'm on my 4th refurb and i finally got a good one. the 3rd one i had was a joke. there is no way it should have gotten past quality control. it had an internal short or something that caused the battery to drain so fast that it went from 80% down to 20% within 30 minutes of activating the phone and when i plugged it in, it was draining faster than it could charge. after leaving it alone for half an hour on the charger, it went from 20% down to 8% and ended up dying on the charger and would not power back on. verizon tried telling me that it was the battery, but the battery was the same one i had in the other refurbs and it had no problems prior to that. verizon put in a spare battery they had, powered it on and told me the phone was fine and i just had to wait for a new battery to be shipped to me. i told them it wasn't the battery that was the problem, but they told me it was battery. i demanded that they put it on the charger and watch the battery percentage. after waiting about 20 minutes while the employee helped somebody else, sure enough, the phone had gone down 7 or 8%. they took it off the charger and within 5 minutes, it had dropped 25% and they finally agreed to ship me a new phone. that next one they sent me is the one that i am currently using.
the refurb i'm using now has a kickstand that does not sit flush and sticks out maybe 2mm (pretty significant) when it should be flush. i put a simple silicone case on it and now it doesn't bother me too much and i am keeping this phone, as it is the first one that i have gotten that functions as least close to how it should. it still had problems maintaining an internet connection and the bloatware apps killed the battery pretty fast, but once i rooted it, the internet issue is much better and my battery life has nearly doubled. btw, i am running liquid thunderbread 2.6 and i love it except it doesn't work too well with slacker radio for some reason.
i'm just glad i'm out of refurb hell. verizon (or HTC) really needs to pay a little more attention when sending out their "certified like new" phones.

LETS RALLY ALL THE REFURB TROOPS! I SMELL A CLASS-ACTION LAWSUIT!! ....Yeah right they'll probably agree to give everyone $50 off a new phone if they get locked into a 10 year contract.....
They wouldn't want to do that, if they change their rates right after you sign it you would be locked into the low rates for the remainder of the contract. Even a $10 change/month change would result in a $1200 loss per customer per contract term. Now if they could lock you into a variable rate contract for 10 years they would likely give you the phone of your choice for free!

But how many phones do you see lasting for the length of the 10 year contract? "Oh your TB no longer works with our advanced G-series Network-IT HAS ELECTROLYTES! IT'S WHAT PLANTS CRAVE!- You'll have to upgrade your phone and I see you're on a plan that we no longer offer....."
LOL I wouldn't sign a variable rate contract for any period of time. I could see the hike now. Sure the first month only cost you $150 for your plan bit we decided to change the rates now it is $1500 monthly for the remainder of your contract...oh you don't want to know the ETF...

Scratch that, I connected it to the charger before I went to bed. Woke up in the middle of the night. Picked it up and almost burnt my hand, good thing I woke up or it may have burst into flames. And to make matters worse it didn't charge the battery. Had to use 5th refurb to charge and make phone calls. They offered early upgrade, but do I really want to spend $250 on a new thunderbolt? I just do not know what to do at this point. Regardless I plan on buying a vigor even at full price when it is released. What to do?

Wow that was harsh bro. Trust me I'm not just some stupid idiot that dosnt know what is going on. I have used Android for 2 yrs, and have talked to Verizon tech support in each individual case. I'm just asking for some advice from other people on what to do. I just assume you are in a bad mood today.
wow 6th TB so sorry for you. i bought mine the day it came out and never had 1 issue with it ever. the only 2 complaints i have about the bolt is obviously the battery life and 2nd the glossy reflective screen but does come in handy when you need a mirror.
but now after rooting it and flashing a new rom i couldn't be happier, battery life is great but the screen is still to reflective IMO. actually now i think my battery last longer then my bionic.

rooting my TB really made a huge improvement in my battery life too. i used to have to turn off my data connection altogether just to make it last 12 hours. now, i can leave 4g on 100% of the time and i still get longer battery life.
