Root Hard Brick Help...

So, I think my bootloader corrupted while it was updating. The phone won't respond at all. No charge light, nothing. Phone wont power on. Power + volume down will not do anything.

My computer does indicate that a device is plugged in when I plug in via usb.

So with that said...

Is there a thread or instructions for fixing a hard bricked HTC EVO V 4G? I've googled and searched forums but haven't been able to find anything.

Thanks in advance.

What have you tried so far did you do hotboot

Right now I can't even get it to power on anymore. The only indication of life is when I plug it into my Win7 Laptop and the laptop gives me the quick 2 beeps that indicate it can't talk to the device.

I've tried pulling battery, swapping sd cards, no sd card, no battery just power, etc. This thing is just dead or almost dead..

It died while flashing

It litterally powered off MID update and never came back.

It maybe gone you shore that's a cdma and not a gsm file .try to flash . And if it was a big file leave phone alone for a few and try to charge battey . The battery maybe low

Thanks Guys. I started messing with it then it dawned on me, I bought it within the last year. I took it back to Best Buy and got full credit for the phone. Picked up an Optimus F3.

Hmmmmm that's not true . The answer is to flash the correct firmware don't mix and match .

But isn't the firmware the OP linked to the most recent one? I don't think it was the firmware that caused the brick if indeed it was done correctly. Could've been a bad (incomplete) download of the firmware file was flashed.
