Hey guys! I got a problem. I don't have a cell phone right now and I really need to get one asap. I am getting the triumph when it comes out. But I can't wait that long. I want a VM phone now and was thinking of getting a used Optimus. My only problem is that I dont want to spend a $100+ then turn around in late July/early august to spend another possible $200+. should I get a used Optimus or even the rumoor 2 while it's on sale or just wait until the triumph comes out? What do you guys think?? Thanks!! =]

Get a rumor or optimus from target. The optimus is on sale til tomorrow for father's day either for $150 or $170 with a $20 gift card, I can't remember which. Anyway, Target gives you 90 days return period, just in case you want to hold onto it longer if you can't afford the triumph when it comes out, or you want to wait and see if they put it on sale (a couple of weeks after the Optimus came out, Target put it on sale for $129 with a $20 free gift card, but that was when it coat $150 regular not $200). Either way, by buying one now at Target, and exchanging it for the triumph, it won't hit your wallet as hard when you have to pay only the difference and not the full price.

Thanks for the advice I may have to look into that.

You have probably already purchased your MT like most of us, and found out it is not the phone it was promised to be. If you haven't bought it yet, don't.
Buy a Optimus V instead. IMHO and other owners (not all but many) will agree, it is the best (maybe not most powerful or with the most memory but still the best) Android phone VM has to date.

just because you and a couple other android phone users come on the boards complaining about the phone doesn't mean there aren't hundred of users completely happy with there purchase. Look at the reviews on virgin mobile's website.

Exactly.

I upgraded from an Optimus to the Triumph and I love it. The larger screen size alone sold me on it, but I love the faster processor since now I can play more games :) . Also, the Triumph has a great deal more of internal storage. So I'm no longer weeding out apps to uninstall in order to add new ones.

I did notice that the GPS had a bit of trouble the other day, but since I rarely use it, it's not an issue with me. I'm still hoping for a update to fix it. Hell, now with Google owning Moto, I think we may see faster updates. :)

Is it the greatest Android phone ever? Absolutely not!
Is it the best phone on Virgin Mobile IN MY OPINION? Yes it is!

All right, I'll chime in, too.
I love my Triumph. The battery isn't much of a problem for me and everything else works great.
In fact, since I got my MT, I've stopped using my 7" tablet for everything but book reading. The MT is a tablet I can keep with me at all times.
I waited since February when the rumors started, and got it a couple days before the official release. It's been everything I thought it would be. And miles ahead of the Optimus, which I had previously and loved for what it was.

LOL No need to get defensive over the phone.

A lot of the issues these users complain about were also mentioned in professional reviews(i have literally stalked like 8 different sites to get a professional review).

I sometimes thing Virgin Mobile(and other carriers as well) have "fake" reviews on their sites.

I am a recent owner of a Triumph(MT sounds dumb) and personally it is a pretty solid phone. I now realize what my problem was with my optimus V...yeah the Optimus V is a POS but it's mainly Virgin Mobile that is my problem.

I appreciate these people complaining about the phone because without their complaints I'd be thinking the Triumph was all rainbows and roses when it's not.
