Help Hard power button?

So I just got my replacement X today and when I press the top power button, it "clicks". Likes its supposed to.

On my old device, I noticed the button is almost sunken into the phone. Like its been pressed to much? I have always had some trouble pressing it, never noticed how bad it was until today. Is this normal?

And is there any other way to lock the screen without the power button? Like a widget i can install on my home page? I just dont want it to happen to the new phone too...

mine clicks. it's normal to click. Not to be sunken in. You can grab widgetsoid from the market and use it to place a pull down widget in your notifications.
