Help Hard reset but didn't lose calendar info?

I did the seemingly requisite post-Froyo hard reset and lost everything that wasn't saved except my calendar. I can't say that I'm upset - it saves me the trouble of recreating it - but why didn't my calendar get wiped out? I don't have it saved to Google.

It may have been saved the sd card? Or you may have synced it to google once initially?
