Help Hard Reset-Clears ALL Personal Data on EVO?

What would a root user need to do?

Any reason to wait until after day 30 return window to root?

Thanks,

If you have root, you *should* unroot, because they can deny your warranty if it's rooted. You can, of course, unroot.

It's probably a good idea to wait until the 30 days are up if, for no other reason, you think you might return it. Also, most issues you'll have would show up right away. But, like I said, you can unroot. It's not all that hard.

Where's the best EVO root-unroot guide because ideally I'd like to see its rooted potential even within the 30 day return window if not overly problematic..

So while rooted, should I then infer that users data is more vulnerable from a security perspective?

Everything you need to root/unroot can be found here:

Your data is not more vulnerable while rooted (ok, well don't install malicious root only apps, but...), what I meant earlier was that just wiping data if you're rooted is not enough if you're returning the phone. While all the data will be gone, the phone will still be rooted.

Thanks, I'll check that out, how long would you say it takes to root&unroot?
