Help Hard Reset on Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0

I had a samsung galaxy tab 2 7.0, and it is locked with a password that I do not know. I had heard that a hard reset can fix the job, but I do not want to delete all my photos and videos in there. Any suggestions?

Were the photos and videos on the removable microsd card? If so they won't be lost. I don't know what to tell ya otherwise.

I really don't know what that means, like an extra sd card I must've slotted in? I don't have one in there.

Well, if you never put an sd card into the tablet then that blows that out of the water. Sorry, don't really know what to tell ya. Oh, maybe use the USB cord and plug it into your computer. I think even if it's locked you should get a folder for the internal storage and you can just copy pictures and stuff over to the computer.
