Help Hard reset

I performed the hard reset and it was successful. But then, why is it that the signal was high but it says there that it is for emergency calls only? I restarted my phone for the nth and it is still the same. What will I do to fix this?

It sounds like you're stuck in emergency mode or emergency call mode - getting out of it varies by device.

That or the phone has defaulted to it as happens when it's not active on a carrier - and that can happen with a bad sim card if I'm not mistaken.

Try popping the sim card out and put it back in.

Check Settings, wireless and networks, APN and make sure the correct APN are set (although I think they're only for Internet sorry)
Check Settings, about phone, status and (dont post it here) but do your IMEI code look ok? (16 digits, not all zeros?)

I took my phone to a samsung store. They checked it and they performed program reset. Then they said that it can't be fixed. They also asked if I want them to open it. They also said that the condition will be 50/50. It might not open after opening. So I said no.
