Hard time texting...any suggestions?

I've had my Evo since launch day. I switched over from a BB Tour. For some reason I STILL am having a hard time adapting to typing on the keyboard. I'm a girl and have fingernails so I tend to use the "one finger" typing method. It is driving me crazy as I feel like a first grader learning how to write! I've never changed the keyboard, am I doing something wrong? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Get a shapewriter, swype type keyboard. I came from a hardware keyboard as well and after you get used to the swype motion its the best way to type.

If you tend to spend a lot of time in front of a computer like I do, there are a lot of cool free applications out there where you can send texts off your phone easily from the web. When the person responds the texts, they will just pop up on your computer for you to respond back to... You should look into that!

stop trying to type so fast! slow down your typing until you get a feel for where to touch the screen. when you stop making so many mistakes and get comfy, you can increase your speed and there you go.
