Hardest upgrade decision EVER!

Samsung Galaxy S2 V Motorola Atrix

I have just upgraded to the Samsung Galaxy S2 but it had to be the hardest decision I have had to make when upgrading my phone!

Will I regret my decision? - Definitely at some point, probably when a mate gets the Atrix and shows me it in the Lapdock or work and play kit attached to his TV while it smoothly runs firefox browser software. :(

If you look at the Specs (anywhere) they are so closely matched.

I did play with both of them and have to say that even though I went for the SGS2 the Moto Atrix blew me away.

It came down to the following reasons:

screen, samsung very slightly better - really not a lot in it though

Lack of gyroscope sensor in the Atrix - will i ever truely need it? When it is this closely matched everything counts

Warranty on samsung is 2 yrs and moto is 1 yr

SEE NOTHING IN IT.

And have to say I went for the lightness of the samsung over the build quality of the Atrix (not as good as HTC but nearly there)

The Atrix best trick was the docks and it it nearly made me get it but am i really going to use it that much when I have a laptop and netbook already.

If anyone is in the same situation as I was then i'd say you would make a good decision whatever one you choose. :)

everyone likes to hang from the atrix's sack but its really not that good of a phone. In the experience I had with it, it was very laggy and not much fun. I have to blame that in MotoBlur but THAT is how it comes.

Just because its got dual core and whatnot does not automatically make it "the best phone att sells." I know it didnt get said in this thread but it has been said before.

All-in-all i think you made the right choice!

Enjoy

It's really a shame too. I just got the G2X and I can definitely feel the diference in the Tegra2 from my Nexus One. Gotta love vanilla Android!

A good decision!
If you look closely to all features, you will see that SGS2 is a winner.
Besides, SGS2 is on track to become the most popular Android device with a large user community. That will matter strongly in future updates and support.
