Root Hardly any Roms development lately??

I a couple months back I used to see allot of new roms from Sky Raider and Virtuous now I dont see any ? I am still on Sky Raider 3.5 and been waiting for a update ? Its been months since I last saw any updates wat is everybody using now?​

The problem with ROMs like SkyRaider, Redemption, Virtuos, etc., is that since they are based on the stock framework, they can only have updates when the stock framework is updated. We've gone as far as we can on the stock framework, and most of these ROMs should see a decent update once the next OTA is released (rumored to be no later than July).

If you're bored, you could try Nothing Special (peanut) and customize the heck out of it.

I've read that they are working on SkyRaider 4. I've been using Incredibly Re-engineered 2.3, Warm Z twopointtwo, and Incredibly Re-engineered Z 1.1. The Z-roms are pretty cool with the new Sense, but they dont have all the fun mods that IRE 2.3 has.

Skyraider 4 is going to be released soon. The developer has stated that it is the last version of Skyraider that will be released.

Ever since using cm7, every other rom (especially sense roms) feel really laggy. And my battery always sucks when I am using a sense rom. I am curious though to see HTC release gingerbread 2.3 with sense.

CM7 udpates nightly with new release candidates coming quite frequently. I used Warm Z for a couple of days and decided to give CM7 a try. Yeah, I like sense 2.0 as it is ultra slick BUT after installing CM7 RC4 along with Chad's incredikernel, my phone is rocking. I went 17 hours yesterday on a stock battery and had 38% left when I went to bed. I made about 20 minutes of phone calls during that time, surfed the web for about a half hour total, and played 30-40 minutes of Angry Birds RIO. I also played around with the settings quite a bit so the screen was on a bunch.

When CM7 goes to final (as a stable), I can't imagine I'll ever go to anything else.

There are a few widgets to get back most of what sense has that appeals to me. Colorize widget has an agenda that is VERY similar to the sense agenda widget. Beautiful Widgets has a clock/weather widget that looks just like sense. Add go laucher EX and the phone is as smooth as silk and looks great...

Kenn, I told you when you were asking before that cm7 kicks ass! BUt after you said you were trying warmZ with sense 2.0, I had to try it. It is really nice looking, but just could not win my heart from CM7! Sense sure has come a long way though.

I was looking for something as well, after trying some sense 2.0 roms I landed on Incredibly Re-engineered Z 1.1. It is the only sense 2.0 rom that I have o issues with, It cool, its fast and the battery seems on par or better then Skyraider and Redemption
Sense 2.0 is so sweet.
tried CM 7, build 19 I think and I has so many fc's I had to bail on it.
I will probably give it another testdrive after the final comes out.
For now Incredibly Re-engineered Z 1.1 has me real happy. Im finding some nice mods for it as well.

EDIT, almost forgot your real question, I think a lot of the dev's are moving away from Dinc rom's and going to the Thunderbolt frenzy. Eventually all good things must come to an end.

The nightly builds for CM7 are experimental. Give the latest Release Candidate (RC4) a shot.

I usually flash around a lot on the weekends, Maybe I will give it another run tomorrow night.

Im guessing RC4 is probably a lot more stable then the build 19 I used.

Nandroid backups make it to easy to flash around with ease

Yes, Yes you did. I couldn't stand it any longer. Warm Z was, well, sweet, but CM7 rocks. I'm going to re-flash my wife's Eris with CM7 when they go "official".

MAke sure you do a wipe, clear cache and dalvik cache! The builds are super stable now. Give it a go!
