Hardware Keyboard Weening

So, how many current or future Note II owners are coming off hardware keyboards? One of the things that sent me running to Droid was I absolutely hated being forced to use the on-screen keyboard on my iPhone. Input was just too limited and I hate having to stare riveted to the screen to type versus tactile or lose screen real estate to the keyboard.

I simply do not want to limit myself anymore. Top-of-the-line smartphones just aren't being released with hardware keyboards. The original Droid-line sequels just aren't delivering in the specs department (Droid 3 was cool to have first Dual Core phone bragging rights, but that 512 Mb of ram really hurts performance.)

I figure I can deal with losing the keyboard by trading up for the huge screen and alternate input options of the stylus. There are just plainly obvious benefits to having that kind of input over pure touch-screen. I'm also thinking the size of the screen will make it easy to type with both thumbs while holding in portrait. The screen has been too narrow thus far and landscape cuts off the screen.

Anybody else convinced to jump to Note II for similar reasons?
