Recently discovered and looking forward to getting my hands on a Neo3DO tablet! However, I missed the Indiegogo campaign unfortunately and apparently will have to wait a bit later than original backers.
I have a few questions regarding software availability and hardware of the device:
- Will this tablet get access to Google Play? I remember reading that it won't at launch, but is there anything being done to fix this? Any serious distributor for Android tablets should have access to Google Play, I already own several apps on my Android phone and would love to be able to share them across devices without the hassle of different app services or sideloading apps. IMO this is what separates US sellers from the many available Chinese variants.
- I'm concerned with quality viewing angles of the LCD display in 2D mode, which is an issue with many tablets in a lower price bracket. Do you have any specs for viewing angle information or is the tablet using any special display technology like IPS (aside from the 3D Parallax Barrier)? I want to be able to use the tablet for art applications and viewing angles in 2D are very important.
- Does the tablet include GPS and/or Bluetooth 4.0?
- Does the product ship with the 2D-to-3D GAME (not just video) conversion software? I read that Tridef recently licensed this tech to Gadmei and it would go into "future" products. Seeing as this tablet is expected to ship within the next month, is this feature actually implemented and working already?
- Are there any plans to upgrade to Android 4.1/4.2 Jelly Bean in the near future?
- When will the tablet be available to non-backers from Indiegogo? Do you have any confirmed US Distributors?
